My opinion: Petrol - manual. Diesel - auto. I'd love a DCT 335i though! I agree with phil200tdi, a quick petrol engine with a slick, close ratio gearbox takes a lot of beating and although I like the 320d manual, the ratios are just too far apart on a diesel & are much better suited when hooked up to an auto.
